New York State Museum

Faculty Member, Research & Collections Division

State Archaeologist and Director, Cultural Resource Survey Program

About

My research centers on the socio-economic interactions and settlement patterns of Late Prehistoric (circa A.D. 500-1400) populations of the Northeastern United States and Canada. I also have research interests in the ways that past populations interacted with their environment and the ways that these interactions are conveyed in their material culture. Finally, I am interested in issues relating to public outreach and education in archaeology.
